Basecamp Copenhagen South

The residence is really nice with all the necessary facilities such as a washing machine and dryer room (it's about 20kr for the laundry machines). On each floor there is a common kitchen with ovens. The cleaning in these common areas need to be reviewed because the cleanliness is not the same for everyone apparently…The studios are well laid out with storage. the welcome pack with the duvet etc is so expensive as the sheets are very thin and of poor quality. The pillow is so uncomfortable. I don’t recommend it.The bonus point is the sharing is caring room which allows you to equip your studio with crockery etc. it is a room where you can drop off what you no longer want and collect things. But when there are many arrivals it is almost empty.There are events every month (parties, table tennis tournaments etc) which allows you to meet people.the residence is well located with cycle paths to get to town quickly and there is the Aldi (soon to be rema) and a cheaper Lidl 5min away.A downside, I had a problem with cupboard doors that fell on me several times which were not resolved but the maintenance agents came quickly.I returned my apartment in the same condition as I had it and I was able to recover my deposit. I haven’t charge for cleaning fees or other but the cleaning take me a lot of hours to be sure that everything is ok.The problem is the very high price, but when you can't find homestays, it's one of the only possible solutions for a short Erasmus stay, for example.

I lived at Basecamp for two years and I have to admit that it's a great place to stay. The aspect that I liked the most is the freedom of your own space. Moreover, the common areas are filled with many different games and activities are often arranged. Having friends in the residence is great, especially during winter, when there is not that much to enjoy outside. In these two years, both the managers have been extremely helpful and available towards every need I had. The building is close to DR Byen metro, which would let you reach any part of the city. Just notice that if you are a CBS student and you intend to bike everyday, it may take you around 30 minutes.

We've had such a great time staying at the mezzanines in Basecamp! The place is top-notch and everything inside the apartment was new, and the managers couldn't have been more accommodating. If you're heading to Copenhagen from overseas and don't fancy navigating the real estate maze, you gotta check out Basecamp. Seriously, getting an apartment through their website was so easy, it made other options look like a real headache. Thumbs up for Basecamp, folks!

I stayed for almost six months (single with a kitchenette (on the top floor)). Good experience, overall lovely place with a good common area and a pretty good gym! I had an amazing time in Basecamp. The room was clean and equipped with everything necessary. The location is also great, you can drive in the city center with the bike or train very easily and the amager beach is close by as well. Also don‘t worry about your deposit, if you clean you’re room thoroughly, then you won‘t have any problems. Overall, I had a very nice stay, thanks for that! :)

Overall a good experience here. I have lived here for two years and during that time I was able to meet friends and use the nice facilities the place has to offer (gym, cinema, basement with places to study or meet). The down side were the shared community kitchen as they were quite dirty because some peeps didn’t take the responsibility to clean them up. What I would like to have seen in Basecamp was maybe a pinboard with information about what you can do Copenhagen like: yoga classss or certain clubs or events you could join (especially in English) since that was in the beginning a bit difficult for me. I cleaned my room very well and made sure that during my time I kept it well and tidy. Therefore I got my full deposit back :). I guess that’s the trick?

It was a great place! Full of events to get to know everyone in the building. The accommodations are fine and the sharing is caring is a nice concept that saves us a lot of money. If you are looking for a place to stay I highly recommend it :)

I stayed here for a year. I will convey the experiences I gained during this time because when I read the comments before coming here, I was a little scared, but my experience was exactly the opposite.The rooms are not small at all by Copenhagen standards. There is plenty of storage space. You also have a storage room on the ground floor for oversized items such as suitcases you may only sometimes need.The location is simply magnificent. Within walking distance of both M1 and M2 metro stops. Many times during the summer months, when the M1 metro was not working due to maintenance, I could reach my room very quickly thanks to this location close to both metros. It is also within walking distance of the University, the beach, the DR concert hall, and markets.Many events are held monthly for people to get to know each other and have a good time. If you're new to the city, you may meet many people in precisely the same situation as you.I would like to make a special mention of management here. I solved a significant problem I encountered with their help and understanding. Thank you for this. If you have an issue, you can find someone to help you at the reception during working hours. The emergency line operates 24/7, even outside working hours.During my one-year stay here, I gained valuable experiences that I want to share. Before coming here, I was apprehensive due to some negative comments, but my experience proved to be the complete opposite.

So modern and clean! I absolutely loved studying abroad here and the people are amazing! Only thing I wish they had was being able to put your own detergent into the washer so my clothes smelled better.

My experience. On my first month there the fire alarm must've gone off at least 10 times at all hours of the day or night. This to go along with the fact that the communal vacuum cleaner disappeared really soured my experience. The room was passable, although the bed was really uncomfortable and small. But it served its purpose for my going to school and travelling a bit during breaks.The deposit was steep but from what I read that's the norm in Copenhagen, and although I cleaned thoroughly before leaving (15 days before the end of the month!!) I was still charged ~500dkk. They must expect perfection or something when cleaning.I would suggest browsing facebook listings before booking a stay here. The price is not equivalent to what you get. I had a friend who stayed in the city location and his experience was much the same.
