Great experience i contacted Grethe on Monday, submitted the paperwork Wednesday evening and by the following Wednesday she had the paperwork approved and we were married 2 days later on a Bank Holiday! She performed miracles! Amazing experience!!!!

4 weeks from first email contact to the wedding date. Grethe organised a date for us one hour outside of Copenhagen within less than a week after the application was approved. Charges are very fair and Grethe was there for all of our questions and super friendly. Definitely recommending!

We recently got married through the Magical Wedding package at the Old Højerup Church. Let me highlight a few things on why this whole experience couldn’t have been any better:ApplicationAfter sending all our documents to Grethe and her team, we received confirmation only after one week (that fast!). The process was transparent and the guidance from Grethe was always on point.Preparation and LogisticsGetting to the area is not part of the package. The Old Højerup Church is about 1.5 hrs of driving from Copenhagen and since we didn’t have any guests save for the photographer, we just rented a car for all of us and drove there. All ‘prettification’ materials are also excluded in the basic package so I had to buy the wedding bouquet and do my own makeup and hair.LocationThis part is what I love the most. There are city hall options but going the extra mile to choose the Old Højerup Church pays off incredibly well. We arrived about 30 mins early in the area and Grethe was already there. She invited us to some traditional Danish food on the house in a cute cafe. The church looks every bit like the internet pictures - intimate, beautiful, whimsical and historical. The wedding itself happens on the church’s balcony overlooking the sea (see photo) and there are stairs that lead down to the beach below. Tip: if you intend to go down, bring comfy shoes.CeremonyOur officiant was the kindest lady ever who even recited a poem for us. The ceremony lasted only about 10 minutes and all throughout, you are being serenaded by the sounds of nature from the sea below. After the ceremony, there were cake, bubbles and some small gifts from the mayor and Grethe. It was pretty much magical - as the name of Grethe’s company is.I will end my review now because it is getting long, but let me emphasize one point before that. It truly is, without a doubt, one of the best decisions we made when we opted for the Magical Wedding package from Grethe. If you are considering to get married in Denmark to avoid all the legal fiasco in other parts of Europe, be assured that you will have all you need and 10x more with Magical Weddings.

Grethe is an amazing person to work with! She was extremely flexible with the time constraint that was upon her in helping me achieve my wedding plans for my now wife! Approximately 2 weeks was given in advance and Grethe was able to organize and execute plans in a city near us! Super friendly and caring! She showed up to the ceremony which was wonderful!
