I went on the Silfra snorkelling tour and the Golden Circle tour with Arctic Adventures. Our guide for the first part, Becka, collected us early and presented many excellent and intriguing facts about Iceland en route to Silfra. Once there, the snorkelling guide Goran ensured that we were prepped and safe to enter the fissure and even when I had a mild panic in the water, he was present and calm to assist. He helped and was kind and for that I am very grateful. The second half of the trip was also good and the driver kept us in the loop when a snow storm appeared to threaten our plans. Great trip, wonderful people. Thanks!

HEADS UP - SILFRA SNORKELLING TOUR - the tour we were most looking forward to on the last full day of our Ring Road adventure: the guide lost all photos she took of us before and during snorkelling, the outer layers (thermals + dry suits) they lent us were torn and tatty - one had a broken zipper - and they ran out of drinks/snacks at the end of the tour after making a big deal about these as an incentive to endure the full tour.This was our two teenage daughters' first snorkelling experience ever (and the first time my husband and I had ever snorkelled in a dry suit), and so we were most frustrated about the lost photos, but they only offered a short 'sorry but the photos are free' via email.This was by far the most expensive of all the tours we did during our trip, and I would bet most people who book this tour equally expect to receive the type of photos that are widely promoted on their website and throughout the reservation process, so chose your tour company wisely!
