I had the great pleasure and honor of meeting the owner, Yuyiko and she is delightful, authentic, hard working, experienced and an honest tea lover. The place is decorated with care and taste and it is right in the center of Norrebro. Just looking through the window you get transported and feel calmed and relaxed. I can only invite you all to go there and get a true Japanese true by yourselves.

This experience was something else it was my first time in any form of teahouse, and I think I couldn't have started at any better place than this. The owner was very kind, and you could really feel the passion for tea.I loved the aesthetics of the space, the sounds, and overall, it was a very peaceful environment.The tea was delightful, and some of the tastes were very unique.I will definitely come again, and I can only recommend this place to anyone who wants to relax and enjoy some tea.

Wonderfully relaxing and authentic Japanese atmosphere. The tea there seems to be superb. However, I got extremely disappointed when I wanted to introduce my wife and two friends to Japanese tea culture here. Unfortunately we were not allowed to share two teas among us and where asked to choose one tea each. When we decided for three teas, we were still asked to choose a fourth one, for my wife. When she explained that she was pregnant and didn’t feel like drinking tea (or caffeine free alternatives, being afraid that she wouldn’t react well to it), the staff told us that they would have to charge per person, nonetheless. We left frustratedly, since we neither wanted to exclude my pregnant wife nor force her to pay for or drink something she didn’t want to. Hence I was unable to share my fascination with Asian tea culture with my friends and family. I would have loved to drink and buy some of io’s tea, but not under these conditions.

If you’re stressed go to Io!!! Such a calming atmosphere. So nice. Wonderful tea and excellent service. Such a lovely serene place.
