David Statue
Nice replica, makes you have an idea of the original. Is situated all by itself, seems like almost a forgotten thing. It got my attention, I enjoyed looking at it, specially for its size.

David Statue
The original of the victorious David in marble stood originally in front of the Palazzo della Signoria in Florence, but was moved into the Accademia already in 1874. This bronze cast was donated by Carl Jacobsen in 1896 and was erected experimentally in several different places in the city, including close to the Town Hall Square in front of Vartov and near Helligåndskirken. Finally, in 1907, it was given a more permanent position in Østre Anlæg.

I am amazed to see a statue of David in Copenhagen.I have seen the original marble statue at Galleria dell'Accademia di Firenze. The Copenhagen David is a bronze and the green hue contrasts very well with the red brick wall background.I will never tire of seeing theDavid.

David Statue
There is a replica of Michelangelo's David statue in Copenhagen, located in the courtyard of the Danish Royal Academy of Fine Arts. The replica was created in the 19th century by Danish sculptor J.A. Jerichau, who was inspired by the original David sculpture in Florence. The Copenhagen replica of David is made of bronze and stands at over five meters tall, making it larger than the original marble sculpture in Florence. It was originally commissioned by the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts to serve as a model for its students to study, and has since become a popular attraction for visitors to the city. The statue is located in the courtyard of the Academy, which is open to the public during certain hours. Visitors can admire the statue up close and appreciate its stunning detail and artistry.
