Indehaveren er utilregnelig. Gik ind 2 minutter før åbningstid fordi døren stod åben. Jeg blev først mødt med et muntert 'halløj', men 20 sekunder derefter overfuset og smidt ud på hænder og fødder fordi han åbenbart mente jeg havde brudt ind.

Man kan altid, ALTID, finde noget sjovt i Skindergade. Masser af engelske paperbacks, kunstbøger, romaner, biografier, you name it, jeg er aldrig gået tomhændet derfra c

It saddens me to write this 1-star review. Approximately four years ago I visited The Booktrader and it's one of the fondest memories I have of that visit to Copenhagen. The love the owner had for books and reading could be seen in every nook and cranny of the store.In-between then and my latest visit to the store - a few days ago - the previous store owner (who owned the store for decades) has retired.The new owner has changed the style of the bookshop dramatically;Gone are the rows and rows of books one could spend hours browsing (the inventory of the store is at least 50% less than before) . Gone is the excellent range of English language texts (which was the best in Copenhagen). Gone are all the loving touches of the previous owner. Left is one of the most bland and boring second hand bookshops I've ever visited.In its current state this bookshop is a ghost of its former self. Visiting again made me heartbroken. There are several second hand bookshops in Copenhagen worth a visit. This is not one of them. I vehemently recommend you not to visit. Especially if you visited the store before 2018 and have pleasant memories of this place. Spare yourself the grief I've had to endure seeing what once was a lovingly managed bookshop be reduced to its present condition.

Lovely bookshop with a good collection of rare and second-hand books. They have a mix of Danish and English language texts, all very well organised and presented. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Booktrader er stedet for beat litteratur i København. Og stedet hvor en stenet Turell interviewede en cool Burroughs. Uforglemmeligt!
