Bought the (now discontinued) Prato Chest of Drawers. Miserable quality, botched assembly and a combination of different woods (not as advertised). The product broke during transport and I took the time to restore it.Things I observed during restoration:- Advertised as hardwood (Paulownia), but some structural parts are actually made out of chipboard, colored with wood stain to make it visually appear like the rest. Other parts (e.g. drawers) are made entirely out of another wood type.- Wood glue is distributed chaotically, leading to structural breaking points.- The bottom plate of every drawer is paper thin - I had to add structural elements underneath to avoid the drawers from breaking.- The wood of the drawers as well as the interior is unfinished, no sanding, oiling or anything. Therefore, every drawer scratches on the frame. Had to sand the interior and every drawer, oil and wax it.- Wood on the outside is only colored (with wood stain). This means there is no protection whatsoever! Better not touch the exterior!- Every drawer has a different depth (+/- 4 mm). Illustrating the poor abilities of the cabinet makers.Summary:It is an extremely cheap product, sold for an extraordinary price. It is made to appear nice on the outside, but you won't be happy with its functionality, finishing or stability.The producer knows exactly how to deceive their customers and how to create products with a bare minimum of quality.
