Worst parking lot in the world! I have been to many countries and never experienced such an awful parking experience in my life. We were visiting Aarhus for a couple days and wanted to do a quick shop at the supermarket there. Usually, you never pay for parking for a supermarket but we saw a sign that states “3 hrs” (or so we assumed as it is only in danish and there is no parking machine around). We quickly popped in the shop for 5 minutes and came out to see a parking assistant running towards our car. He said something about a “clock” which we didn’t put. We tried to explain our situation. (Tourist, don’t understand the language, thought it said 3 hrs free and there’s nowhere to pay). He only repeated “clock” and continued to give us a ticket. We tried to explain that we don’t have a “clock” as we’re not from Denmark but he didn’t care.I tried to object the fine online but got a very long and rude refusal email which basically said that as I was in Denmark, I’m “obligated to read and understand danish signs”. Not helpful at all..So long story short - if you’re a tourist from abroad - BEWARE and don’t park there as there’s nowhere to pay for parking (unless you magically have a danish clock..)Good luck!
