Everything about our experience with the team at Danish Island weddings was excellent! We had postponed our wedding 3 times due to Corona and then we came across Louise and the team and they made our 'back up plan' better than we could ever have hoped for. Nothing was too much trouble - everything was easy. The Beach hut was the perfect location for us and the set up, the ceremony, the cake, the champagne, the lunch, the flowers, Neli the photographer - everything was amazing! We would recommend anyone getting married to go to Aero! Thanks to the whole team.

BEST. DAY. EVER. We were looking to get married in Denmark to not having to hussle with the paperwork (being a French-German couple living in Switzerland makes administration a real pain!) - so all we expected was a simple, easy wedding. What we got was exceeding our expectations by far - a DREAM come true, really. The team of Danish Island Weddings (such lovely people!) planned and organized the perfect day for us with the most romantic BEACH WEDDING you can image. Thank you so much, Louise, Yuki and John! Every detail was just so thoughtful and tailored to what we like and we felt like we were in the right hands from the very beginning.We've just had our 1 year anniversary and we couldn't be happier to have made those wonderful memories on Aero.

We had our lovely wedding at the end of March. Everything went smoothly and exactly as we imagined. From the island, the people, the accommodation to flowers, everything was perfect. Yuki is very kind and helpful and made sure all the requests were fulfilled and taken care of.We couldn’t have been happier! We aimed for an intimate, stress free wedding in Old Merchants’ House and this is exactly what we got.We are happy to have made this choice and we hope to return to the lovely island soon!

My husband and I were recently married on Ærøskøbing with this incredible family run business, and their energy of warmth and helpfulness assisted the entire process. This could not have possibly gone more smoothly due to their foresight, organization and thoroughness. Additionally, I had the salvation of Louise who made me a gorgeous crown of succulents and lavender at the last minute when the florist I went through did a poor job. Although we were married far from our homes and without our family and friends present, the people involved in helping this day manifest were so genuine, warm, and welcoming that it truly made the occasion special. Thank you very much to Danish Island Weddings and John and his team. From the very first contact by email we were treated in a very friendly and professional manner. All our inquiries were always answered immediately. We came from Dubai via Copenhagen and arrived late (07.30 p.m.) in Ærøskøbing. John personally came down to the ferry pier and collected us. He made us feel very welcome and special. He also booked a table for us that night at the Restaurant MUMM, which we only can recommend for its excellent food and cozy atmosphere.We stayed at the suite above the Old Merchant Court and only had to come down the stairs to the wedding room. John has organized everything to the smallest details and so we could enjoy the day to the maximum.We also can recommend Jens the photographer. My husband and I got married in Ærøskøbing through Danish Island Weddings and we had a wonderful experience. We are an international couple (American and German, both living in Germany), so that often comes with its own separate issues with bureaucracy and whatnot. Danish Island Weddings made the whole what could have been a long and painful process so easy and straightforward. They really know what they’re doing.Yuki, our wedding planner and our main point of contact, was so helpful and took great care of us. She helped us out with everything from getting our documents in order to planning the details of the wedding ceremony itself. Prior to our arrival on Ærø, nearly all of our communication was through email and any time we had a question, Yuki was always very knowledgeable and quick to respond. She had great suggestions for things like where to gather for a meal with our loved ones after the ceremony and photoshoot, where to go and stay on the island, how to set up a live stream session for our friends and family across the world, and also helped us with arranging for boutonnieres and our (delicious!) wedding cake, among other things.As for the wedding ceremony itself, it was simple, elegant, intimate, and basically everything we could have asked for. I am still beaming at the memory of it. When we arrived at DIW office the day before the ceremony, as is required, we were welcomed by John and Louise, who are lovely, and they took our documents to the local authorities for official government things. Yuki then came to greet us and walked us through what would actually happen during the ceremony and helped us plan the last minute details and logistics of everything. We were married in the beautiful wedding room of the Old Merchants Court the next day and had a wonderful time. My husband and I are so happy with how everything went.It can sound a bit scary to plan a wedding in a place you’ve never even been to with people you’ve never met in-person, but getting married in Ærø with Danish Island Weddings was one of the best decisions we made. The island of Ærø is gorgeous with its rolling hills, its beaches, and its charming little towns with buildings that look like they came straight out of a storybook. We will definitely be back to visit. The team at Danish Island Weddings is nothing short of fantastic. They took such good care of us at every step and made us feel so welcome and at ease. I can’t say enough about how great their service is. I’m so grateful this business exists and it’s no wonder that so many couples have chosen to get married with them. HAPPIEST day of our life - DIW made it easy for us.We celebrated our wedding at the Old Merchant’s Court in Ærø in early summer 2021. The team of Danish Island weddings were guiding us right from the beginning from handling bureaucratic things till the planning of our entire wedding to the very last moment. It was very easy to communicate with them and they gave attention to every detail we wished for.Given the Covid-19 situation, they were very flexible and put in all the efforts to make last minute adjustments. It was nice we could enjoy the wedding without having to worry of every small details. Louise is a lovely person and together with her team she made our wedding day unforgettable.- Santhosh & Kim

We really loved getting married on Ærø at the lovely Voderup (nature wedding). Yuki, Louise, and all the team at danish island weddings made it so easy and relaxing! We did an elopement because we didn't want a big ceremony, but we still wanted to be somewhere memorable with some nice photos to share after. It was perfect, Yuki was amazing at organising everything and the flowers from Louise were so amazing! We had their recommended photographer Neli, and I had hair by Anne and make up by Mira, who were all lovely and made everything feel special and stress free. The island is absolutely gorgeous and we will definitely be back to visit. We loved exploring. Voderup is a dream and I would really recommend for a special place to stay. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the whole experience to anyone, there were no downsides for us. Thank you!!
