By tradition a local christianite would cano to the island with fresh vegetables on a weekly basis.It is widely discussed whether this is a true occasion and things you read on the internet you should take with a healthy notion of skepticism. Especially when it comes to danish folklore.On this island you also find the home to thousands of birds, migrating around sunset from places such as Kalvebod Brugge in southern Amager to their nests at the rabbit island.
