Just an absolutely amazing experience. I'm writing this review a year later, but the memory of that dinner is still vivid. The attention to detail, the execution, the presentation, etc all of it. Just mind-blowing. You will not regret it. It's totally worth the price for sure.

For a change in my 3 stars challenge in France, and all stars in Paris (follow me for all the reviews and updates)Baltic’s Bornholm seductionSo what’s exceptional here? It’s a 2 stars Michelin, it must be. What’s exceptional is the seductive power of the new Nordic cuisine and specifically of Bornholm. I’m not going to present the New Nordic cuisine, but the interesting thing is that Bornholm is an island in the Baltic Sea right in between Sweden and Danemark (actually closer to the first one). It does put it in the middle of the Nordic countries. The perfect location from which comes the founders. So what’s so seductive about this cuisine, and specifically Kadeau ? First the actual kitchen itself. When you enter the restaurant, once your coat taken, you’ll pass by the open kitchen while being conducted to your seats. It’s beautiful. Big wood work surface. Obviously very Nordic in style. Not the old school danish, but the modern one. They managed to give this authentic feeling by focusing on simple, nearly rough shape, aimed at usefulness, made with local elements and with just a tiny touch of local old school craft. It s seductive because it’s saying: I m just this simple, down to earth guy, focused local values and virtues and I have nothing to hide, i m proud of it. It’s the same with the cuisine itself. It’s highly seductive because you have a focus on developing the intensity of the taste of local ingredients. Actually, it made me realize the impact this type of cuisine had in France (especially for some quite recent 2 stars…). What are some of the tools to develop the intensity and to seduce? The way they conserve stuff will naturally develop it, like marinating, smoking, salting. But also, local butter or, for example, drying fruits will bring flavor and sugary notes (I’m not mentioning the honey since it was used for dessert). It’s seductive because it’s mainly local ingredients, or at least ingredients that makes sense in the Scandinavian culinary culture. It does give an authentic feel. And that’s enticing.But there’s another part of the seduction: The hospitality. The service is very welcoming, made by those who cook in the kitchen, right next to you. Interestingly enough, the hospitality spirit is also to hired from every corner of the planet. It’s great because it makes their cuisine even closer, even more accessible by having another non danish guiding you through.Bottom line, you have an intense, focused on the local ingredients, cuisine.Definitely great for couples. Actually we only saw couples. Aside from a big table that is set on another side.It’s a very solid two stars

Very interesting restaurant. The menu is mainly based on seafood, and we enjoyed all the dishes. The tasting menu and pairing are well matched. The staff is very attentive and the atmosphere of this small restaurant was very pleasant. I strongly recommend trying this place.

Fabulous experience, the 15 courses are well timed and small portions keep you ready for the next one , the presentation of each dish, the ambiance of the dining room, and the excellent service all make the gastronomic experience delightful. We had the non alcoholic pairing also and the flavors experienced with those drinks was truly exceptional.

Wonderful place, amazing food hands down. The story of Bornholm is reflected in each and every dish. A lot of thoughtfulness has gone into the creation of the dishes and it truly shows. Really good non alcoholic drinks are available to be paired with the food, by the way.The staff deserves a shout out as well, they’re extremely professional and doing a great job. 10/10 would visit again~ :)

The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the 16 dishes that were served to us throughout the course of the meal. Each dish was prepared with great care and attention to detail, and we were even treated to stories about the origins and preparation of each one. I was particularly impressed by the use of preserves in many of the dishes, which added a unique and delicious flavor.One of the restaurant's standout was the fresh uncooked seafood, and I must say that it did not disappoint. The seafood was of the highest quality, and the flavors were so fresh and vibrant that it was hard to believe we were dining in the heart of the city.Despite the high quality of the food, what really set this restaurant apart was the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. There was no sense of snobbery or pretension here, just a genuine desire to ensure that each and every customer had a great time. The staff went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable and happy, and it really made for a memorable dining experience.

Ambiance, food, service, and juice & wine pairings are all some of the best you’ll encounter. Really enjoyed chatting with one of the co-owners while eating the highest quality ingredients the restaurant can find. Preservation season was a nice bonus as you got to eat great products that were cured traditionally for extra flavor and nuance. Can’t wait to eat here again

5/5 stars for us, sensational experience, unparalleled atmosphere with exquisite food and flawless service. Price is on the high end with a price of DKK3200 (USD$470) per person for their 16 course tasting menu, but for us it was totally worth it.We had an incredible evening whilst dining at Kadeau. Kadeau Copenhagen has a cozy vibe with very spacious seating and ample space between the tables, this makes the experience extremely personal, yet not isolated.We experienced their Autumn/Winter 2023 - Preservation Season 16 course tasting menu, with surprises at every corner. Kadeau’s story and concept makes the experience extremely unique, with roots from Bornholm. Many of the dishes were created with unique twists, allowing for an exclusive tasting experience. A large selection of the produce is grown by Kadeau at their Bornholm location, and the juice pairing which we opted for, is also created with this home grown produce.The service was fantastic, attentive but not invasive. All the staff were extremely friendly and could answer any questions we had and tend to our needs. The chefs would come to the table to explain the different dishes giving insight to the thought behind the dish and the origin of the ingredients.Overall, dining at Kadeau has been our favourite culinary experience and we look forward to returning again.

The 16-course menu is pure art here - even the waiters and chefs are beautifully synchronised when they serve you your dishes.My issue here was with portion size and total time spent at the restaurant; it took over 3 hours, and I left feeling extremely hungry. None of the Michelin star restaurants I’ve been to had portions this small, so I didn’t get to enjoy the experience as much as I’d hoped to.That didn’t, however, take away from how beautifully presented and delicious the food was. The staff was also brilliant - the way they gracefully attend to you, and move around the restaurant was like a performance.
