Nivaagaards Malerisamling

This museum displays the art collection of a clay brick Baron. It is a good collection of mainly portraits from different epochs. There are also some family portraits.I particularly liked the photos of the family and the brick workersThere is a nice gift shop and cafe. A lot of attention has been paid to make the museum experience attractive to children, so all the family can enjoy it.It is a short drive from Copenhagen and close to the sea. There are lovely gardens to explore which must be magnificent when the rhododendrons bloom.

Parken står i fuldt flor lige nu, den er virkelig så smuk i et væld af farver og sorter. Tænker sæsonen varer et par uger endnu, ikke alt er sprunget ud.Der kunne godt bruges lidt flere bord/ bænke sæt i parken, der er stor rift om dem der er.

Rhododendron parken er meget smuk når den står i fuld flor.Du skylder sig selv at se parken.

Nivågård er et dejligt lille kunstmuseum, med en samling af faste værker og et afsnit til særudstillinger.Udstillingen er til at overse og pænt sat op. Desuden er der adgang til Nivågård Haven, hvor man kan gå på opdagelse i de enorme rododendron buske.

We went there for Affie Atkins event, it was super fun. There were area for creative activity, book area, collages, play areas and so on. We could only see half of the place.The toilet with changing table is big, there is free locker. Big bag and liquid from outside is not allowed in the museum. The museum has own cafe with light lunch, drinks (coffee, soft and beer) at an ok price. Both outside and inside tables are available. There is also a garden for a short walk.The staffs were very friendly especially to kids.

Lovely gardens, peaceful and tranquil environment surrounds the gallery. Quaint gallery with pleasant variety of Danish art. Very enjoyable day trip.
