A beautiful, magical beech forest, teeming with life. The forest floor is carpeted with beechnuts, crisscrossed with clear, well maintained trails. We saw folks out foraging for mushrooms, raspberries, and wild cherries. You will stumble across sculptures, dotted throughout the forest too. The posted maps do not show all the trails, but there are trail markers throughout, and it's easy to orient oneself. You can pick up a trail on the north side of the bridge that goes over the train tracks, right at Tolne station.
