Sally is very competent, I wish I had follow my intuition and come to visit her sooner. She is very empathetic and show a long experience in the breastfeeding area.

I sought help from Sally for breastfeeding issues I encountered with my six month old after he was hospitalized with RSV Pneumonia and our breastfeeding relationship was suffering due to poor stamina on his part as he is still recovering and my supply had suffered. I was always hesitant to seek help from a lactation consultant because I has heard so many stories of consultants being dismissive of mothers' concerns and their refusal to recognize legitimate problems that are not simply solved by, Just try harder / Just put the baby to the breast more". After a beautiful pregnancy and birth, breastfeeding didn't come easily. I thought it's only fair that I'm having some issues, given that everything else went fine. The nurses and doctors assured me there's nothing wrong with my baby, and l was recommended to toughen up and just deal with the pain. At the verge of giving up, I went to see Sally.She diagnosed my baby with a tongue tie and gave me both the means and confidence to continue breastfeeding while we were looking to find an appropriate treatment. Once we resolved the tongue tie through an operation abroad, breastfeeding was a breeze. I will always be thankful to Sally for her professional, empathetic and hands on approach that led me to experience how wonderful breastfeeding can feel, and for helping me have that special bond with my baby that l always wished for.

I first met with Sally when my son was 3 days old, after he lost more than 10% of his birth weight. I'd breastfed my first child without any problems, but I was the second was very difficult. At our first meeting, Sally spent TWO HOURS with us (she actually came to our house), and she really helped us understand what wash going on, gave us a plan, and followed up the next morning and the following day. We also met with a midwife, but she rushed us through very quickly and gave us a generic plan without any follow up. Over the course of a few weeks, Sally helped us through low supply and a number of other issues. She is very professional and also incredibly empathetic-- even when my son peed on her during a weighing. We started calling her the Yoda of breastfeeding" because she is so calm and knowledgable.
