I arrived for an event advertised in a newspaper and on Facebook. However, I was disappointed that it was cancelled without any notice or offer of anything else. The location was also difficult to find behind street construction and a school in front, even worse was that I called multiple times for help and no one answered.

Fantastic time with Nel and the other ladies on the beginners sewing class. Learnt all the basics I needed and a few tricks to get me going. Now all I need is a bit of time to practice. Can't wait to come back to learn to sew a dress!

Nel is amazing! I enjoyed the sewing class very much. I own a sewing machine and after trying by myself with youtube and failing, Nel helped me make 2 things in 3 hours and I am so excited to continue practicing. Don't listen to the bad reviews, there were extenuating circumstances that explain the bad situations some people had in the past.

Booked a class here with a friend. The supplies did not work “as expected” so we were offered a reschedule and partial refund. We rescheduled to try again another day. About two hours before the class, we got a call that it was canceled. Then we were ghosted. No reschedule, no refund. This happened to my friend separately as well. Clearly this place has a track record of stealing money. They shouldn’t be allowed to do this to honest, paying customers.

Nel from Little Pink Maker cancelled a workshop last year and I have not received a rescheduled date or a refund. Attempts to contact them by email, telephone and Facebook have not been answered.

The woman running this business Chan’nel Vestergaard is a scammer!! She advertised on Facebook for Danella Rug Hooking tool and does not deliver. It’s not just me it’s several people she scammed. Look on Facebook Danella rug hooking site. Others have also complained about her.

I’ve attended atleast 4 classes here already and plan on attending more. The workshops are fun and very informative, Nel listens to what you want to achieve and can give additional advice,I love the atmosphere in the studio, bright colours and many works on the go to look at- whether it’s drying acrylic pours, a bunch of plants, Petri dishes of fungi for a science project... non stop! I also appreciate the level of sanitation supplied- during the worst of Corona Nel obeyed all government recommendations. All surfaces and tools are sanitised before and after use (she sanitised sewing pins in the intermediate sewing class! Impressive!) and keeps her classes small so social distancing is possible. Each person gets their own tools so no cross contamination is needed.All beverages are supplied- tea, coffee, water and if you feel inclined, a cheeky wine which is lovely, because coffee and crafting is so hygge. I’ve had wonderful chats with people I’ve met in her classes, a diverse and inclusive space where all are welcome, which as an expat is lovely to find sometimes. I even bring my daughter (under 1 year) along and she can sit in the pram or in her carrier while I craft, Nel takes the occassional disruption from her in stride. The outdoor area is also good for crawling/walking little ones to move about. Nel is also a wealth of knowledge about the danish system and being an expat. My first class was within weeks of arriving in KBH and she turned me onto Facebook groups for plants, where to buy supplies, the best English scones, etc.I also find Nel has been good to ask any craft related questions outside her classes. The replies are not immediate, but we must remember this is a single woman operation and there is a lot of preparation in running her classes, helping at the school the studio is in, having her personal life etc. All communication outside hours has an automated response and I find I get a reply when the message is seen. Nothing is so important it needs an immediate response anyway- we’re literally taking an art class and talking crafts!The sewing workshops are a must-have, for sure! I was also very pleased with the watercolour painting I did, better than anything I had done before and I learned a new technique. I will continue to support this business and recommend it to all my friends.(I pinched the photos from little pink makers Facebook because I’m always too busy to snap pictures... but I am in every one of these!)
