Grundfos

Design Fault causing cracked HousingUnfortunately this pump has a design fault resulting in a cracked housing. Our pump has sprung a leak rendering it unusable after 12 month like so many others... (2 year warranty).I contacted Grundfos and was told that a warranty claim needs to be handled through the shop where the item was bought. So I called the shop and was told that I need to send pictures, serial number and purchase documentation that would then be send to Grundfos. A phone call confirmed that the details provided was all that would be needed and that my info was already send to Grundfos. I called the shop again and was told that they are waiting for Grundfos to reply.Now this pump is advertised as a Household Water Pump, so yes we need it...Is Grundfos expecting us to buy another pump so their warranty department has time to deal with the many claims for this pump?They are obviously very aware that there is a design fault with this pump as they have tried to fix the issue by adding two brackets that are designed by a bean counter and are totally useless. Danfoss USED to be a premier brand... unfortunately no longer, a shame reallyUpdate: My warranty claim was launched on 10 March, today is the 13 July and after repeated prompts I am still waiting for a response from Grundfos...
